 About Jennifer

Long before mobile phones were carried in the back pocket of every teenager, Jennifer took her Cannon SLR with her everywhere and recorded ordinary moments of the small town outside of Boston where she grew up. She was fascinated with the magic of photography and its ability to freeze a moment in time — as Cartier-Bresson says moments that “are continually vanishing.” A particular moment cannot come back again, but photography can capture bits of time as it continues to unfold. Today, the world is saturated with images — photos are shared, retweeted, or doctored with filters. Though photography has been made less magical, and more ordinary in some ways, the fact remains that a moment cannot be recreated in the exact same way. This truth embodies the power of photography and Jennifer's continued love of the medium.

Through the years, Jennifer has explored various traditional photographic processes — gelatin silver prints, pinhole cameras, cyanotype, van dyke prints, photo etchings, gum prints, etc. — as well as more modern techniques and mixed media installations. As a professional photographer, Jennifer showed her work in group and solo exhibitions for several years before devoting her time to her business, nonprofit organization, and family.

As the world rapidly progressed with technological advances, Jennifer's explorations in art evolved as well. Digital photography and graphic design have been a staple in her freelance business for more than 20 years. She has enjoyed creating dynamic marketing materials that captures the mission and vision of clients' businesses and endeavors. Today, Jennifer continues to record life around her for the purposes of pleasure and experimentation; however, much of her design and photography revolves around the charitable work she has facilitated in Africa for 17 years. Since the establishment of her nonprofit organization, Dream On International, Jennifer's freelance business is limited. Projects are fulfilled upon request.
